Mission

Canadian Entrepreneurs in New England (CENE) is a volunteer, member-based 501 (c) 6 organization focused on helping Canadian companies expand and succeed globally. Our members are founders, innovators, and executives who are focused on changing the world through life sciences and technology. They are the heart and soul of our organization. Their shared primary value is giving back to Canada — and they have a lot of fun along the way.

Founded in 2013, CENE has been providing mentorship, expertise, and experience to our members. We hold programs through our True North Partners, as well as regular events for our community members to attend. We've expanded our ability to offer Canadian companies even more structured and highly valued opportunities to work with and learn from our members. 

Community Guidelines

At CENE, bringing people together is at the heart of what we do. Our mission is to help Canadian entrepreneurs further their success and foster connections within our community. CENE is committed to providing a safe, positive environment for all who join in supporting our mission. This is a code of conduct for all interactions that take place through CENE, including our events and other CENE-organized programs and activities, and applies to all members, sponsors, partners, employees, volunteers, and participants in our programming. CENE’s relationship with the Consulate General of Canada in Boston

CENE is an independent nonprofit membership organization managed by a Board of Directors and staff. We collaborate closely with the Consulate General of Canada in Boston and we share the common goal of helping Canadians succeed abroad.

Our Services and Expertise

The CENE’s members are Canadian executives and innovators living in New England who want to help Canadian companies grow globally. In addition to our member-oriented networking and social events, we offer two distinct programs to help Canadian entrepreneurs and innovators: True North partnerships and Innovation Events.

Mentoring

With an extensive network of Canadian executives in residence, the CENE offers customized mentoring and coaching to your start-up or early stage company. CENE mentors are specialized in life sciences and technology and share a passion for helping Canadian companies bring their technology and science to the world stage.

Market and Thought Leadership

Leveraging our expertise and experiences in the tech and life science industries, CENE educates and advises ambitious Canadians to realize their full business potential. CENE members provide high-value subject matter expertise and thought leadership on a wide range of topics focused on the US and global markets.

Industry Networking

CENE’s programs and services include networking in the Boston & Cambridge business community. Our diverse community of executive-level CENE members offers Canadian firms the opportunity to connect with life sciences and technology organizations in this vital innovation ecosystem.​
